Twitteru Turcijā aizliedza viņam vēl esot valdībā, ja nemaldos. Tad viņam obligāti bija jākļūst par prezidentu, jaunu Ataturku — spilgts varas kāres apliecinājums.
Reakcionārs, radikāls, autoritārs, varaskārīgs, ar fantastiski uzpūstu ego. Ja izskatās kā pīle, staigā kā pīle, peld kā pīle un pēkšķ kā pīle, tad… Tad Erdogans mūsu acu priekšā auga un brieda un beidzot izaudzis un nobriedis par riktīgu diktatoru.
Tagad mūsu acu priekšā izvērsīsies drāma par to, vai Turciju glābs tās demokrātijas institūcijas. Ja Turcijas sabiedrība ir tik konservatīva, kā to daudz analītiķi pasniedz, demokrātijas institūcijas Turcijā visticamāk nogulsies zem diktatora. Apmēram tāpat, kā tas notika ar nenobriedušo, sabiedrības neatbalstīto demokrātiju Krievijā Putina lienošā apvērsuma rezultātā apvienotiem bandītu un ohrankas spēkiem nultajos gados.
